Anyway. Went up to North Gate in Durham today with Adriann and Kiki. That, despite being about a fourth the size of South Point and not nearly so cool architecturally (sp?) is the awesomest mall in the world.
First stop was Waldenbooks -- not Books-a-Million, OR Barnes n' Noble. Found the Manga section. INSTANT LUV<3 They had the first Gravitation, the third and fourth Full Metal Panic, the SECOND FUSHIGI YUUGI (-spasmed-) ALL kinds of shit. Much more than any other book stores I EVER go to. And I turned around-- AH! WALL SCROLLS! I wanted the Fushigi Yuugi one sooo bad (spasming in the middle of a book store, here) but they were expensive and I didn't have much money. T_T The bookstore also had a few DVDs, Inuyasha shirts, and OMFG PLUSHIES. Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV PLUSHIE. And Vash the Stampede. And that little cat from Trigun. And Chi, from Chobits. -spasmspasm- But all I had money for was one manga, so I spread FY vol 2, FMP vol 3, and Gravitation vol 1 (B-A-M and Barnes usually have some Gravitation Manga, but whenever I'm looking for a specific volume nobody ever has it-- they usually have two and three, but never one.) on the floor, sat in front of them, and meditated.
I ended up going with the Full Metal Panic. ^_^; Though it was awfully close to Gravitation. It.. gravitated to me. >>; I did read part of the second volume of Fushigi Yuugi, though, enough to find out Nuriko is a man (-spasmoflaughter-). I have to get lots of money to get that. XD But.. of course.. FIRST.

I didn't even realize there was a Suncoast at North Gate. But we spotted it and went in, and right away I had like.. a spasm right then and there. Seriously. A whole wall of anime DVDs, OMG, turn a bit to the right, a whole wall of manga, OMFG, turn around, a shelf with almond crush pocky and yamyams and melon soda and kiwi gummies and cute little Hello Kitty cookie-ish candy, manga samplers, SOUNDTRACKS. ANIME SOUNDTRACKS. Spasm spasm. Action figures. KIRARA PLUSHIE. Shirts. <333

So like, yes, I was drooling over everything. Kiki went back and looked at the posters and came back with a Chobits one. While she was getting that, I went to look at the posters.. Inuyasha <3 JAMES DEAN=LUV<3 and even this awesome Invader Zim one. I went to the mall with twenty dollars.. I paid Adriann back six, got a ten dollar manga, and I was going to get food but ended up throwing in on some pocky and kiwi gummies.
AND OH MY GOD. THEY HAD ALL OF THE FRUITS BASKET DVDS. T_T
I've been wanting them for so long--my want was just recently reinforced by the second volume of the manga and rewatching that FUNimation CD I got free when I got the Ranma movie. It has the first two dubbed episodes on it. But I want so much mooore. And they've never been at FYE. I was searching for it and I caught sight of it.
Me: T_T -all touchy-feely on the DVD box- I LOVE YOU. I WANT YOU. I NEED YOU. -shoves it at Adriann- ADRIANN THEY HAVE FRUITS BASKET. FRUITS BASKET. T_T I need thirty dollars..

ARGH. So. I've vouched to save up money and go back and raid the store. At least, I need to save up enough money to get the first Furuba DVD. Six episodes for thirty dollars. u_u At least there's only four DVDs, because it's a twenty-six episode series.. yep. Maybe I can bug enough out of mum in the next few weeks. <3
Adriann's decided she wants to go to that mall for her birthday. :D I did that on my fourteenth, instead of having mum spend a lot of money taking us all out somewhere, I just asked for money for my birthday and for her to drive us down to the huge mall in Concord. It sounds prep, I know, but we spend all our time in the anime section of FYE, and CDs, and the bookstore and the videogame store. Which are usually stores the preppies avoid. But by then I'll probably have my job (at Angelo's! :D:D) and I'll have half a paycheck every two weeks to blow on anime and manga (because the other half is going into the bank.) And on minimum wage that's still a hundred dollars or so.
-sigh- Even thinking about it makes me spasm again.. I want some anime. Really. Bad.
I don't know about Animazement this year. Adriann pointed out that the real reason I was going was for the merchandise, because it's not normally available to me. Nobody's going with me, I'm not ready to cosplay, I mean-- she probably would've gone, and I would've met up with Cici, but y'know, nothing special. Yu Watase is gonna be there, though.. but maybe she'll come back next year? This IS her third year.. it might be something of ruitine for her. And next year I might be able to go with more people, I don't know.
The same way that next year I might get to go to Otakon, because I'll have my license (and maybe a car? a crappy one, but a car.) to drive the few hours up to Maryland. And I'll have more a reason to go up there than I do to go to Animazement-- meeting everybody from HE, and Krystle and Taru and Shi and everybody. <3
