Reading an article in the trib
I read that scientists have found a way to convert certain adult cells into a cell that seems to be as potent as embryonic stem cells. And Chinese researchers have just shown that they are indeed as potent.
My reaction: HELL YES maybe now stem cell research will finally be free of the asinine association to abortion.
The article: Those Chinese researchers used some of these cells converted from connective tissue in mice and successfully created mice embryos. That's the Gold Standard of testing.
Me: WUT
The article: "[some scientist] cautioned that the results 'revive many of the same ethical issues as reproductive cloning.'"
Me: OH WHAT THE HELL
