My favorite part about “Exit Through The Gift Shop” was how no one who knew Terry knew what to make of his success. Is he really selling out if he was doing something he loved? How stupid are consumers for buying his rip-offs? How stupid are artists for clinging to pride? They wanted to disown him and commend him at the same time, and their resulting speechlessness was hilarious.
…But I don’t know what to make of him either!
