1 Corinthians 13:4-7

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves."

I like this.

honestly, this is an unrealistic way to look at love for me. it used to work, but now i've seen way too much reality and i can't believe that love is always pure, or even that it's supposed to always be pure. and if you really do consistenly love someone this way, inevitably you'll just end up lying to only keep up the name you gave it in the begining: kind, patient, and hopeful.

but thats just myyyyyyy bitter perspective. :) i still love you though, little fata baby.

you're so right, ta. it is completely unrealistic, because there's no love that's perfect like that. but i think that's the beauty in it because you try to make it as close to perfect as you can. you do it knowing it can't be, but working to overcome those imperfections will end in something better, like building strength or getting to know one another better. even if kindness, patience, and hope isn't always there during the progression... i think it's nice those three things remain as motivation to continue on.

we've had our share of love, but we learn that love isn't an easy road as this quote represents. i've always liked your honesty, ta! ever since high school. *loves you*
