Thanks to midnightcolor, yumelia, pectus_pectoris, and amai_kaminari for the Snowflake Cookies. I'd send you one back 'cept I don't see it in the gifts page anymore and I've got no money (or paypal/credit card/whatever) to buy any of the others with, sorry.orz

And...I've got no money 'in general' which is why I'm not joining the card-sending this year. I don't want to fail more people this year than I did last, so I figured I'd sit it out altogether. Sorry, guys.~_~

Been to a couple of conventions, two of which I brought my nephew to. He seemed to have enjoyed himself, though not particularly with the cosplay. Under the cut (not, for those seeing this in multiply) is a pic of him in his Son Goku costume on the first event he went to. We fixed his nyoi-bo for the second one (which I can't find a pic from) but didn't bother to make his shoulder armor. I never quite appreciated Goku's armor until I saw him wear everything for the first time. It looked weird and obviously incomplete.

Talk about rush, ghetto cosplay. Don't judge me please. He was supposed to go on the second day but he had exam on Monday (ah, excuses).

That same day (Mangaholix Manga Mania Day 1), I cosplayed Gokudera ver. Mafia Suit with SIGIL. We were placed in charge of the group cosplay registration, but since there were only three groups and I knew members from two out of the three, it wasn't really a hard job. Here's a pic of our group sans the baseball idiot(Yamamoto) who had to leave early, by JM Chua (angrylittleboy in DA and multiply):

Day 1 was Rebocon-slash-Hetalia-gathering. I think there were 5 other Gokuderas besides me and a gazillion Hetalia cosplayers. Day 2 (Individual Cosplay Day) had a lot more variety, and was at least 10x the pain for us at the registration booth. I planned to go home early but ended up handling half of the cosplayers during the competition, who lost me my voice for a good half of the following week. No photo ops 'cause I wasn't in cosplay, but here's a pic of me with SIGIL leader Kyn (Juudaime..!) by Kiko-san (techsavvy at multiply and kokimonster at DA):

I be the envy of fanboys. *snerk* But, yeah. Dead tiring but an awesome experience.

I went to AME and saw dia_aren_marie a lot but not meicdon13 since she was going around as cosplay marshall.orz I went with Corsivah as Mukuro-possessed!Gokudera--and promptly took off the red contact lens and furiously rubbed the posession marks off my face when a Byakuran cosplayer called me Allen Walker. Oh-Tee-Zi. The only pictures I have of that costume are with Abbey and she hasn't posted them yet. I spent most of the convention hanging out with SIGIL outside and pining after Tsuna cosplayers. I am never going to cosplay Gokudera without a Tenth again, I swear.

My nephew went with me as Son Goku but abandoned his costume hours after arriving to design cupcakes Corsivah was selling. He's been wanting to be a baker/pastry chef ever since I showed him CakeWrecks. He also caught 4 goldfish at the Kingyosukui booth. One of them died the day after and before we could name it, and the other three died exactly one week later, ironically on the day they finally bought a proper fishbowl for them (which isn't actually proper for goldfishes at all, mind you). We named them Lambo, Takeshi and Hayato.

It's true what they say about getting attached to the things you name. I cried when I got home and was told Lambo was dead, felt utterly helpless while I watched Takeshi flail around the bowl before dying, and did everything to keep Hayato from dying too-- but he died anyway. I'm pretty sure Lambo died of asphyxiation since I came home too late to change their water, and Takeshi and Hayato died from swimbladder disease because I came home too late to stop my brother from overfeeding them. Talk about going to bed feeling sucky.

Hayato, a few hours after Takeshi died. It's not obvious in the pic but he's swimming on his side from swimbladder disease.

I came home late that day from PinoyWrimo's (NaNoWriMo Philippine region) Thank God It's Over party (3 hours to get there and 4 hours to get back, both my fault for being 'adventurous', augh). I didn't win this year--hell, I didn't even reach 10k-- so I really didn't want to go, but our Municipal Liaison asked me to have custom pins made for those with 'awards'. Ironically I got one of those pins as "Best Mentor". Last year I won "Most Inspiring Wrimo". I think I'll go for one of the "Highest's (Day Count, Last Day, etc.)" next year, if I still decide on joining.

I got a large blue journal from the Raffle too which, unlike the wooden journal from last year, I'm actually using. If I die from something suddenly, I want it mailed to my hubby. Page 2 has solutions for her Math homework, lol.

Other than that, I've been...homesitting. Watching House, M.D. Applying for jobs online and leafing through the Classified Ads my mom supplies me with every Sunday. It's not going very well though and I've developed an Irie Syndrome-- I get stomachaches when I'm nervous, stressed or pressured and there's a lot of pressure here at home so I've been feeling really sick. My brother is bringing me to Asian Hospital tomorrow to apply as Helpdesk there and I very nearly keeled over after his call this afternoon.

So, so sorry for abandoning you this past month f-list, but please bear with me.~_~

P.S. This is a 'new-ish' fad among plurkers, drop me a question?
