A 'Real' Post
Oh shit! I broke my nail!D=
...or whatever you call chipping it bad enough to need to cut it. I wouldn't normally care before (I'm a nail-biter, unfortunately), but I'm trying to grow my nails to cosplay Youkai!Hakkai next month at Ozinefest. Of course buying fake nails would probably A LOT easier and neater, but long nails kind of look cool to me now. Kind of. More like delicious. *resists the urge to bite them* Other than that, I've been toying with green eyeliner and a foundation stick for the vines and looking into contact lenses. Getting obsessed with contact lenses actually. I found this girl who was selling them a quarter of the price cheaper than a friend and considered ordering violet, green, red and gold. The gold was a bit tricky though. There weren't any lenses the color of 'heretic gold' and the closest we could get to it was hazel brown.D= Which can actually work for Nataku, but might not work as well as I'm hoping for for Youkai!Hakkai. And then, just when I was resigned to getting it, I noticed the yellow cat/snake eyes and Nikki insisted that I get those instead. After placing my order the girl said she had one last for me, she just hadn't posted its picture since she didn't think anyone would be interested. She first messaged for me to look for it, and then that she'd send it to me. Well, impatient, I looked for it myself and found a site that sells them even cheaper than her. In fact, there's more than enough proof that she's a reseller, same with my friend (and boy, they're making such big profits I'm tempted to become one myself!). Well, I felt a little bad, but told her I found the site and cancelled my request. And now I'm considering getting violet, green, red, the hazel brown and the yellow cat/snake eyes and gray (Kami!) and blue too. But I still can't choose between the many kinds! And--
Erm, yeah. I'm really kinda obsessed with them. Anyway, yep, that's about it for cosplay news for me. There was an event yesterday, but I didn't go 'coz I felt it would be unfair to do that when I had to miss the second butler photoshoot. (I was supposed to work with my thesismates in sch**l, but our thesis leader messaged a cancel at three am and scheduled an online conference at 11 instead--which he wasn't able to attend because of faulty internet connection and lasted about five minutes and less than 100 words from me. Sucked, that.) Turns out of the butler photoshoot's photographer was Fart-san though, my favorite cameko, and that definitely threw me for a loop.DX To keep myself from getting upset (further) I've resolved not to look at the pictures, but, naturally, I'm masochistically tempted. Augh.
I made this to settle my nerves earlier:
Oh yes, I have no sense of balance whatsoever. And this ended up as my only real 'output' for the day; not that it really serves any purpose. I'll probably put it up on my DA account when I get new one--after thesis.Because I really don't need (extra) distractions right now. The submission for everything is on March 11 and we're at the point where we can't tell where we are. Our thesis leader finally acknowledged the fact that we might not be able to finish in time after all, and that scared me more than anything. I mean, I've been certain of it a month ago, but to hear him say it...Anyway, yeah, I'll definitely finish my task tomorrow. I've been doing something like it for the past week so I'm quite confident I can finish it in four hours or less. Maybe.
It's just that, I so very rarely get the urge to work here at home these days. Of course I'm not exactly an industrious student, but I've actually gotten some stuff done in sch**l in our 10am-6pm working hours (which is why I haven't been online during the evenings recently; my sister is almost always already using the internet when I get home and I'm too tired to wait for her to finish). You'd think I'd be more pumped if left to work alone at home since that's what I'd been hoping for everyday, but no, I'm not.
And it's not even about distractions. Econtra is barely moving as it is (though the modplots towards the end should come soon, and I've signed up all three of my characters for them) and I haven't been doing much in Soeldei (placed Kurapika on hiatus today, so that I can focus more on econtra and still balance rp-ing with thesis). Kami's thread at PI with Zenon and Shien is moving steadily...or it would be, if I wasn't dragging. I wasn't able to come up with anything to reply with again yesterday. I hope I get something from my muse later today. It's the fourth day since the last post, I think (and the two posted within hours of my last reply. How embarrassing!>_<). Meanwhile, the goddess has told me that meicdon13 is taking over Homura for Father. *cheers* You can do it!o/
Snowflake and Kyle are being stubborn plot animals and won't give me a plot.D= Most of my fics were written within the exchanges so I really want to write something outside, for a change. And I want to try my hand at a multi-chapter too. I considered a vampire fic, but Nikki said that's overdone and to try for werewolves instead. Like a normal person though (LOL at wolfie-loving!meic.=P), I don't know half as much about werewolves as I do about vampires. I'm still going to try it though. Maybe. In the meantime Wikipedia's page on Werewolves has proven itself a mildly interesting (and a bit confusing) read.

The wolfsbane flower was used to identify supposed werewolves. If the flower cast a yellow shadow on the suspected shape-shifter's chin, the werewolf test was positive. <--uh, what?
Another track I want to try is Sanzo-ikkou boyband but despina_moon's Industrial Rule 4080 is too much love I think I'll be half-hearted if I attempt it. That, and it's probably just a whim born from listening to Dir En Grey for the past couple of weeks or so. I love Toshiya and the band's songs are just--wow. I don't care much for how Kyo can get disgusting at times but Visual Kei Diru is <333. I love them, they inspire me, and *insert ramble on how she wants to be in a rockband but it's impossible + new rant on wanting to be a bass guitar player like Toshiya*
It's almost 5am, I got to get to bed. I'll end this with links to some of the valentine_smut 2009 fics I totally adore. Of course, all of them were wonderful, but these ones I really liked in particular. And--is it just me or Kami had too many cameo appearances in the fics? He's mentioned at the end of meic's UkokuXHazel, following a sleepwalking Kouryuu in a KoumyouXUkoku fic, mentioned by Bunny-chan in NiiXBunny (though I suppose that one's to be expected) and, hell, even randomly sitting inside a bar in a GojyoXHakkai fic with no speaking line or action whatsoever. *binks* Anyway, here are they:
