Halloweeeen goodness
* Went to Black Pearl (Deco & Chad's halloween shindig over @ the lobby in St. Pete) last nite...
Right as we were walking up to go in, verrry weird thing happened. A friend comes running up to us (a friend who doesn't even live anywhere near St.Pete, so why in the world was she there/how did she know we would be there...??), holding another friend's cat, basically looking a mess (all strung out).
Wont give away details, but it was a damn saddening sight to see. My theory on people who slip into addictions (cus I've been there), is that eventually there is going to be a breaking point, a downfall that somehow forces them to sobriety, or death (or some serious trouble). Last nite I (un)fortunately think I first-hand witnessed the beginning (or middle, who knows) of her downfall. She's a truly wonderful person, and all I can do is hope she comes out of this hard time 0K.
BUT after that was handled, and she was on her way...
we proceeded to go inside and enjoy the good vibes; TONS of creative costumes & tasty tunes all nite! I'll post my pics once I've eaten a chimichanga and done some laundry.
* Must remember to pick up a pumpkin today. I *love* carving pumpkins...I even picked up a stencil/tool kit already (which I've never used before, but it looks neat).
* Have I ever mentioned that the Halloween series & Texas Chainsaw Massacre are my favorite fuckin' horror movies, EVAR!?! Well, they are >:)
