A book club for two.
So Chris and I have become friends. We've been to the same gatherings and we have spoken on the phone several times. She is reading the DaVinci Code and asked me to read it. I told her I had refused to read it when it first came out because it had become too commercial. Besides, I know something about art and history but I was afraid I would not know enough to follow the book. She convinced me and now I am meeting her at Starbucks in about a half hour to discuss the chapters we have read. A book club for two. LOL I admit, I like the book. It is a fast and easy read. I did go to the net to look up a few things because I wanted a better understanding of some of the places and names. I know they are working on the movie and nothing against Mr. Hanks but I do not see him as Langdon. I hear Ms. Tautou from Amelie fame is playing Sofie. I also read on Yahoo! news that Westminster Abbey has refused to allow filming in the church. They feel the book is blasphemous. Is it?
