Marc Broussard Concert! 11/10/05
I had the experience of a lifetime....let me tell you how it happened.
Wednesday night I was surfing on myspace, because I was about ready to fall asleep on my keyboard typing an outline for stats. I browsed through various artists, and a man by the name of Marc Broussard caught my attention. I wanted to find someone who had soul like Frankie J, but a lil' bit more variety to thier music.
This guy was the one that hooked me.
Mark Broussard is a 21 year old singer from Lafayette, Louisiana who got signed to Island Def Jam Records. His style is a distinct mixture of soul, rock, and pop.
Just by listening, I knew I had to watch this guy perform. So I left a message on thier site asking them when they would be in the Twin Cities. Thursday morning, I get a message back that coincidently told me that he was performing in the Twin Cities that very night! What are the odds!? I was so excited. I was going to watch him perform. Period.
The night was a blast. Kabou and I had the best time watching him perform. The opening acts were phenomenal, and Marc's performance was so full of energy and soul. He has so much passion for the music that he sings. I know I will be a devoted fan for life. This was the artist I've been looking for...
