WV Writers award
Wow. I couldn't believe I actually won second place in the statewide WV writers competition. I was really hoping someone else in my class could've gotten it, my poem Key To Your Heart http://allpoetry.com/poem/1028643 honestly isn't that great. Maybe I won because its in the shape of a key/heart? I really don't know. I'm happy yes, and thankful for the $150, but I feel bad. I took someone elses chance away. Someone else could have been made happy in my class. Everyone seemed to be a little happy for me today and I'm thankful for that too...but I hate it because there are so many people in there who write better than me, I just really don't feel I deserved it. I've never really won much of anything, so when I found out I was astounded.
I'm depressed, I don't want to graduate, I don't want to leave my lovely friends behind, some seniors, some underclassmen, and some of my teachers.
Well, I thought I should put that in here though, at least something good came from today.
