The Butler Did It

I'm so excited, After-Prom is tomorrow! Amber is coming over here about 7 so I know for sure she's going and that makes me happy. There'll be tons of people I know there too, unlike last year. Last year was somewhat depressing.

Well, the Young Writers Competition wasn't what I expected. At times it was decent and at other times it was nothing short of chaoitic. Gideon, Jenny, Sarah, Bina, and Christina all did a wonderful job with helping the kids get seated and lining them up in their rows with their county by their grade while I waited at the bottom of the stairs next to the stage to greet them and make sure they went on stage when they were supposed to. Sometimes we all got a bit confused and the lady on the stage announcing the names and stuff would reprimand ME a bit for it. I couldn't do anything about it, it was not I who was leading them down to the stage making sure they were in the right order. And the others that were helping, it wasn't their fault at all either because the people in charge of the whole thing didn't give any of us sufficient directions of what to do. Some people were from counties that they didn't even have a place for them to sit at, so without any help from the people working the place we just sat them in aphabetical order the best that we could. Some kids didn't even know what country or grade they were in. One little girl was going to get on stage and it wasn't her county's turn nor her turn. I asked her kindly to get off the stage and she was like

"NO!" so I was just like "Umm...okay?" lol, kinda awkward.
Then they TRIED to feed us afterward. I shouldn't complain at least it was free. They were trying to be nice...but I'm not used to fancy dinners and that was what it was...lol, I didn't know what fork to use, I thought the scoop of butter was French Vanilla Ice Cream and appearntly the others did as well. :) Lol.

Ms. Holcomb spoke and presented an award. She wrote down what she was going to say last min. and for a last min. deal it was pretty good. She's a wonderful speaker, I wish I could have heard her last year at the Domestic Violence Candle Lighting Ceremony.

So, yeah I went to the Drama Club's play tonight of "The Butler Did It" and it was SOOOOOO good! Sean, Joel, Max, Erin, and Justin were the only ones I knew up their and they were wonderful. The others were wonderful too. There was one character, Mr. Fan and everyone always got his name wrong...they called him Mr. Tan, Mr. Chan. Mr. Wong. and Mr. San, it was hilarious because by the end of the play he threw a magnificent fit. Then Joel and Erin were fighting on stage because Erin thought Joel was the murderer because she was the one to arrive late for the party. It was a mystery/suspense/comedy. This girl, the maid had a bad case of the sniffles through the entire play, it was supposed to be that way and when she was on stage she sniffled and sniffled and sniffled and it was hilarious.

So, Caitie was in the Crew she looked pretty tonight and I got to see Brittany for the first time since graduation last year. Ashland and Ashley were there too, and I sat with Megan. It was a great play, and Ms. Olsen presented them and they were just wonderful.

:)

Have a good evening all

and have fun at Prom and I'll see you at after prom if you go,

Melissa
