social distortion........
sooo last night ray and i went to see social distortion at the meridian. let me just say that i HATE that club with a passion. worst place ever.
so we get there early and have to wait around forever in the red room. we eventually get bored of watching dumbasses and the smoke so we move into the big room where the 2nd band, the dead 60's are playing. they sucked...bad. the only funny part of the set was when they whipped out a cowbell and started going crazy with it. ok so they go off and then its more waiting for social d for like another 45 minutes. i saw johnny twobags talking to some guy at the bar behind us. it took me a minute to recognize him. so anyways, out come social distortion and of course mike ness comes out last. he is such a bad ass ...... ill leave it at that >:o) they played a really good set. i didn't get to enjoy it as much as i would have liked to though. the smoke was terrible, the show was filled with 99.999% dumbasses that i would have liked to stab in the face. being short at a show is no fun. i really couldnt see much unless i stood on my tippy toes. i got tired of being ran into . they did play some good songs though, but they did not play my favorite song. i also hate the meridian because they wouldn't let me bring in my camera....bastards.
we are going to austin tomorrow night to see them play at stubbs. i can almost guarantee this show will be much much better.
