Man fatally shot outside pizza parlor near U of M

A man shot outside a pizza parlor near the University of Minnesota died early today, police said.
Police said the trouble started with an argument inside the Leaning Tower of Pizza restaurant on University Avenue just east of the campus around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The people involved went outside, where the victim was shot several times.
One bullet went through a window at a motel across the street.
The victim died around 3 a.m. at Hennepin County Medical Center. His name was not immediately released.
The suspect left the scene in a car, police said.
