1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Had a one-year anniversary with a boyfriend. Almost got suffocated at a concert and had people crowd-surfing very close to me (Third Eye Blind at UNH). Met the star player of the UNH football team, David Ball, at a party at the football house...he beat Jerry Rice's record for touchdown catches and will most likely be drafted to the NFL at some point. Went to a rock concert (Pearl Jam).
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never really make them to begin with...sometimes I kind of think of one or two, but I never actually concretely make one. So I guess I can't say I kept one if I didn't have one in the first place. And, knowing me, I won't make any for next year either. But who knows.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Ms. Salo, my high school English teacher/my favorite teacher ever.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My dog. :'(
5. What countries did you visit?

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A more open mind. More fun. Less arguements.
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 12th, the day my dog died. September 15th, because it was me and my boyfriend's one-year anniversary, and I have never been in a relationship for that long. And it felt good to make it that far after all we have been through.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Doing really well in school. Getting a job as co-director of the dance program at a summer camp and earning a lot of respect and compliments from my boss and others who I worked with. Standing up for myself. Doing something that was really difficult but I knew it needed to be done - which also went along with standing up for myself.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not always speaking up or saying how I felt about certain things/not always standing up for myself. Letting myself get walked on more than I should have.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing serious.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Vera Bradley bag. New boots from American Eagle.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Sara, because although we are far apart most of the time now that we're in college, we have still remained close and she is still there for me and always cares. My sister, because she is just amazing. My boyfriend, because we went through a lot and he put up with a lot from me and still somehow loves me. Me, because I also put up with a lot from him, but I always forgave him. My roomate, because she became one of my best friends, could always make me laugh, and was always there for me.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Some friends'. My boyfriend's at times. My own at times.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Just things that I need when I'm at school. I'm slowly going broke. It sucks.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My new job over the summer. My new classes in the fall. The fact that my boyfriend and I stayed together for so long. Seeing Third Eye Blind in concert at UNH. The grades I got for the fall semester. My sister getting engaged and me getting to be her maid of honor when she gets married. Coming home for winter break and getting a month of relaxation and seeing my friends.
16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
"Sexyback" by Justin Timberlake.

iii. Richer or Poorer?: Definitely poorer. Doh.
18: What do you wish you'd done more of?:
Having fun. Meeting new people.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?:
Arguing. Being upset and angry. Worrying. Studying! Haha. But it paid off.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Christmas was a few days ago. I spent it at my house, with my dad and stepfamily, and my sister & her fiance came.

My friends, my roomate, my sister, my boyfriend (most of the time!)
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
The cast of Grey's Anatomy.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Nothing new. I would have to say the only political issue that really stirs me in any way is the war going on in Iraq, because I know people who are fighting over there.
37. Who did you miss?
My sister, my dad, my friends, my boyfriend when we were apart.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
All the new people I met at school this year...Mackenzie, Erin, Angie, Meaghan, Laura, "Big Mike," John, and a lot of other people. And Chris A.!
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006?
Life is so incredibly fragile and it can come to an end at any second, so appreciate it.
Not that that's a new lesson for me, but I realized it even more. Another one I learned was to be yourself and be outgoing and allow people to see who you are and everything you possess and are capable of.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"Now I don't give up easy, I have many miles to go. But I can't wait to get to what I see down this road. And all my life I've learned to just take it day by day...I'm not there yet, but I know I'm on my way."
