my superbowl sunday

Feb 05, 2007 16:08

so yesterday, i went to the asian mall with my parents. i was hoping to pick up a new traditional vietnamese dress because the one's that my dad got me when he went back to vietnam are see through....and I cant really wear that in public. I got my dad's matrial arts group (vovinam) to come perform their lion dance for chinese new years at the boys and girls club on the 16th. I picked up some red envelopes and fortune cookies. I'mma just put a nickel in the red envelopes for the kids cause I need like....60+ red envelopes....so a nickel is better than a penny. haha. anyways, then hopefully that will pretty much be it for my Girl Scout Gold Award. I found this one dress...it was a size 16 in girls and the top fit, but the pants were to tight on my ass. When I walked out of the store, my dad asked 'you didn't get it?' and I was like 'sorry dad, I got mom's butt'. and he started cracking up. white girls ass...oh yes. haha. anyways, so after that, we headed back home then I headed over to Greg's. We watched the superbowl but I mainly just pigged out on the snacks. After that, Greg and I came back to my house and then Kyle called me up at like 8:45 wanting to know if Greg and I wanted to go jumping at sky high. So Greg and I hauled ass to Sky High  meet up with Kyle, Sarah, and Lauren. Sarah and I finally got our front hand springs down on the trampolines...I can finally land it without fallin!!!! I'm so excited! Cause that puts me that much closer to being able to do them just on regular ground. Now, I have to work on my back hand springs...man...I hecka miss gymnastics. I would totally go back, but driving to campbell to practice with my old coach is kinda far. Theres this place in downtown San Jose that's giving me a free week trial type of thing...but I dont know when I should go, if I can get a coach, and whatever else. If I end up going to Dominican, I guess I might try out for the cheer squad. They don't have a football team, but the cheerleaders cheer at the Basketball games. I'm not sure how advanced they are if they do stunts or flips or anything....but I'm sure if I could learn some flips, it would put me ahead at tryouts. But I'm sure I have to learn to do a friggin toe-touch perfectly....egh. anyways, I was just excited I could do my front hand springs and land them! yee!
