first day. too depressing for words.
if anyone has an inspirational first-day story to share (even if it's not from this year), i'd love to hear it. just because my life isn't good doesn't mean i don't want yours to be.

When I was younger I went to this public school that was about 20 minutes away from our house (with traffic and all) so, I of course had my first day jitters. Well, after being off for the summer I wasn't used to get getting up at 6. So, I overslept. Finally though, I got ready and got in the car, but oh, of course traffic is awful for back to school. Well, it was always a tradition for my mom to walk me to my first class and so, we look for a parking spot (now about 10 minutes late) and finally find one, we park, my mom gets out and I realize, I'm starting a new school year, with a teacher I don't know, I can't take this... so I threw up. Everywhere. All over myself, my hair, my mom's shoes... So she runs back around to the car and goes, "We'll go home, get you cleaned up and then we'll take you back." and I screamed, "NO! I'M ALREADY LATE!" So I grabbed my back pack, ran from the car, my mom following me... I start to run to my hallway, but luckily she had the smarts to tell me to go clean up. So I go to the bathroom, splash water on my face and clean up a bit with a paper towel and walk to my class with my face held high, vomit still in my hair, but I made it before they took roll! Ha ha!
I hope this made you smirk a little, and just think, this is the last bad first day you'll ever have to have.
And... I do send you a hug.

It was quite funny, you made me smile.
Hoping college will be better.
And of course I return the hug.
