One of the best friends in the entire universe called me today, six states north of here. "Check your mailbox!" she shrieked excitedly. I haven't run that fast in, well, ever, and I doubt I'll be that anxious when the college acceptance/rejection letters arrive.
Here's how I'll spend my year:
Homeroom, L3, Turiello
1) Pre-Calculus - Piro -2403
2) French AP - Barca - 1408
3) Psychology AP - Orsetti - 2304
4/5) English 12 AP - Quirk - 1416
6) Lunch (I'd say cafeteria, but with our newly acquired set of wheels, we are free! Free as the wind blows ! ! !*)
7/8) Modern European History AP - D'Al -1414
9/10) Phys Ed 12 - Campanile
11) Biology AP/Lab - Unterstein - 2213
So apparently, I am in AP English. Which would be fine, except I have to read Bless Me, Ultima, King Lear, and Pride and Prejudice in less than two weeks, write essays on each, and keep a "literary log", which I have absolutely no interest in doing.
I've had Barca, Orsetti, D'Al, and Unterstein before, so they know me. Check. For some reason, they all have this idea that I'm some nose-to-the-grindstone, outstanding-work-ethic, do-it-with-a-smile-on-her-face kid. Obviously that isn't the truth, but if they choose to believe such a blatant falsehood, really, who am I to burst their bubble?
I actually like how my schedule is set up, which is a complete relief. I always feel so bad for my poor guidance counselor; he winds up switching my classes one or two (sometimes three) times before I'm happy. But he did say I was one of his favorites, so often was I in his office.
*Sorry, I got a little carried away for a minute there.
note: i hate school. did i sound excited in the above paragraphs? well, scratch that. i'm dreading september 7th.
