i am home
tonight i walked ...
as far as i could, until i hit the water.
then i retreated to that familiar rooftop ... the one that brought soo much joy and anticipation into our lives.
i stood there and faced the water ... turned around and saw the city ... below me the water sparkling, cars passing, trains moving.
and above me the stars, the only familiar thing in my life.
i started to feel a warmth on my face ... the warmth from my heart slowly seeped from my eyes and down my cheeks dripping once, twice, and then more. i know what i need to do, i know where i need to be, i just want to know that the city wants me.
and i feel it does.
everything here is soo new to me.
the surroundings, the people, the love, the friendship.
its as if i am learning again, how to live, to confront situations, how to manipulate the world around you into your favor.
i will do well here.
i could do well anyplace ... with friends like these.
