There was a chill, a flash, a dream. They cracked my spine. I walk through the gates of sleep paralysis. Laying there, motionless, defenseless, but not alone. Someone is in the room. I feel it. Their breathe ripples through the air with a butterfly effect. It crashes against my forehead like the charge of a Ram. Oh I know the vulnerability, strapped to this bed. I can only see the ceiling, its veins begin to protrude, like rotten vines gripping the plaster. There are foot steps now. His heels shake the ground like an elephant's stampede. I can see his face. Leaning over my disabled form. His eyes are filled with static. Glistening mucus running down his chin. A whisper floats from his lips and resembles the sound of a joyous whistling child. After a fit of dry-heaving, an iridescent black orb exits his mouth. I hear his voice in my head. The same sentence cycles over and over like the pistons of an infinite machine. You know you're lost. You know you're lost. You know you're lost.
