(no subject)
okay, so while the internet in the hotel is all screwy, there's an internet cafe down the street that works just fine.
Yesterday we got in around 7 AM (London time, I left my watch on Virginia time though, lol), and spent about an hour getting through customs, and getting our bags, then spent a good 30 minutes finding our hotel. I slept for a few hours (around 5 my dad said), then we went on the London Eye and went to dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. It was the 4th one I've been to (London; Nassau, Jamaica; Atlanta; Washington DC).
I'm starting to freak out without my cell phone working. I've got it and all, but I can't really turn it on. It's bugging me, I want to talk to someone. The phone card I have doesn't have the number for England on it (to call out and all), so I can't really use it.
Today we went to the aquarium, I got pictures. We were going to go to the London Dungeon, but the line was too long. We also went to the Churchill War Rooms, surprisingly interesting.
It's almost odd hearing No Doubt on the speakers here.
Its time to go for now. I'll be back on later. Probably not until Tuesday or Wednesday. Paris. We're getting back around noon, and my sister still wants to go to the London Dungeon.
I have yet to pick up any sort of accent, and yes, it is raining. But, it only started a few hours ago.
Before I go, at Paddington Station, we were trying to find the way out and there was a little girl who was coming down the escalator (of which there are 4 million here), and she gave me the oddest look. Not sure why. More speculation on that later.
