I'm (mostly) alive!!
So, I've been away from the internet for about 5 days now. But, that's been the least of my concerns. Why have I been away? Why hasn't it been bothering me? Well, since you asked...
Friday I drove down to Munising because my mom and grandma came up for a three day weekend. We went to see a bunch of waterfalls, took the Pictured Rocks boat tour, and had family time. Well, that would have been all fine and dandy, except I got sick. Hospital sick. Yup, I spent 3 hours Friday evening at Munising Memorial Hospital. Getting tested, x-rayed, and questioned. Well, I have some stomach/digestive issues. They're pretty much better now, but then... Oh man! The pain was horrible. I basically didn't sleep Friday or Saturday night. I could barely stand, let alone walk. And the medicine they gave me, well, that didn't stay down for more than 20 minutes. Yeah, I lost my lunch a lot last weekend. So, since I wasn't up for driving, and my mom is overprotective, she brought me back to Bellaire for a while. I've since gotten better. Not up to 100% yet, but somewhere around 85%. I'll probably drive back up Friday or Saturday.
I'm gonna miss the Poop Balls Party tonight, which makes me sad. But even if I were back in Houghton, I wouldn't be drinking, so maybe that's for the best.
The good part of all of this is that I got to see Gnomes and Rachel today at the coffee shop. We're gonna hang out tomorrow night or Thursday. Or both. Also, tomorrow mom and I are going to Traverse City to get my car looked at. Depending on how things go, I'll probably have new brakes (yay!!) and maybe some new belts in the engine, and new power steering fluid (I think that exists...). We'll see. Either way, my car is getting fixed up. And I can afford these fixes!!
Well, here's hoping I get better soon. And that my car gets fixed up. And that I make it back to Houghton this week.
