bad night
So, I just had a harrowing adventure. About an hour ago, I notice a bug moving near the wall out of the corner of my eye. So, I look over, but I don't see anything. It went under something. Well, about ten minutes later, Lila and I see it again. Clearly. A brown recluse spider. Next to the upside down bookshelf acting as coffee table right now. It then proceeded to enter the hallway. Where the light was off. I watched it go in about half way, then I couldn't see it anymore. And I definitely couldn't try to go to the light switch. I didn't know where it was, and it was in between me and the switch.
So I IMed Kuhko. And he came over. But before he got here, I saw it again. Coming back towards us. Fast. I had about a third of a second to warn Lila before it would have crawled over her feet. It went under the chair she was in. And after Kuhko got here, and we searched a bit, it was behind the little garbage basket. It took him three tries to kill it. His shoe didn't work the first two times, and it would scurry away and we'd have to find it again. Finally he just crushed it with an empty 2 Liter bottle. And then I had him turn on the hall light.
Holy fuck. I don't feel so comfortable right now. But I need to go to bed, cuz it's late and I work in the morning. G'night all.
