Facebook

I don't like Facebook, but I go along with it because it seems to be a main form of communication for many of my friends. Here are several post I have made... for the journals sake:

Lately Silas has been clarifying how this or that is "Old Fashion".

Me and the husband celebrated 11 years last night. Had a lot of fun, got in trouble with the law and still managed to roll into bed by 2am!

Can someone please explain to me why I have to attend 4 back to school type events even though I only have 2 kids!?!?

Just saw a bumper sticker that made me laugh: "When Jesus said to love your enemies he probably meant don't kill them."

Just finished reading "Justice in the Burbs" and although it was rather boring at first I did gather some gems for thought. I am glad to have made myself read it. It gave me an idea for an art piece... although no one in their right mind would display it. *grin*

I miss my man. *pout* I almost pansied out the first night and made my sister come over and spend the night. I pulled it together at the last minute when my son came in and asked if he could sleep in my bed since daddy is gone.

Just got streaked by a little boy with tomato soup on his face....

WOW! The trencher we rented is making incredible time with the hard pack red dirt/clay around our house.... as well it should. Its a behemoth of a power tool. *giggle*
-uuugh. I gotta hand it to you, that sounds like a hard job! Are you prepping the ground for a garden or someting? Hang in there
-Nah, they're digging a moat. In two years, they'll have the full castle walls up. A few years after that, the castle will be built, and THEN the party will get started! Neighbors will be walking along when all of a sudden, a cow will fly over the castle wall and WHOMP, land right next to them.
-LOL! Oh dear, our plot has been discovered! Yes, the castle walls will start going up early 2010. *grin* Actually, our water main broke so we figured while we were fixing that we would pull a spigot out back..... and put in the french drain we need so bad to keep from sinking. And the boys decided to help and fill the trench back in when we were not looking!

Dinosaur bones, visits with friends, an impromtu cello concert in the terminal and 11hrs of planes trains and automobiles later... we are finally home. *contented sigh*

LIGHTNING BUGS!!! Coolest. Bug. Ever.

Me and the little boys dressed up in our highlander kilts and went to the Children's Ren Faire at the park. Best part.... the troll at the bridge.

Just laid stepping stones for the gramma.... Its like putting together a puzzle with lots of dirt. yeay!

I have been hearing A LOT of unbridled praise about this series called The Truth Project. So I looked it up and watched the long trailer and read some of the material. It disturbed me.... but I couldn't put my finger on why. Then I found this site: http://www.thetruthproblem.info/ Bingo.

Is watching silas sit upside down on the couch with one foot in the air and one by his nose... as he picks his toenail.

As much as Shaun and Silas (who planted himself out on the pontoon in front before we had even pushed off) LOVE sailing the Catamaran, we are going to go ahead and sell the boat.

Silas (4 yrs) has informed me that I am only "almost amazing". To be "real amazing you can have to fly".

Little boys pulling 360's on their big wheels... awesome.

Witnessed an insanely beautiful/scary thunder storm last night. It was literally right over our house for a while... we were amazed that nothing near by was hit and that we still had power.

I asked if you wanted PB&J or PB&H... but from the reaction you would think I were asking for a decision on the fate of the world.

I am playing with chicken pooh... *snicker*

I love celebration days where you wake up and you think, "yes, life is good!" before you even realize its a special day.

"First, I will take over the town, then half the world, the the whole world!" - Overheard Micah last night while he was playing with his Dinosaurs.
