I think yesterday was the best Easter celebrating I have done since I was a kid. Biggest highlight... playing on the lawn with my husband, kids and siblings with a big bouncy ball trying to Meg each other (soccer game type thing)! Every day of Holy week I sat down with my boys and we read what Jesus did each of the days all the way through Easter day. It surprised me how into it my boys got. Its nice when you walk away from a holiday feeling as though you really actually celebrated and you have a sense that life is good, even with all the crap that comes with it.

Now that lent is over I get to eat chocolate ships again, although after all the sugar from yesterday I don't want any! It is funny to me how ridiculously hard it was to keep my hand out of that stupid choco-chip jar! I am not into giving something up for lent because it benefits you more than it is hard... I try to choose things that require legitimate discipline (and if there is benefit that is not the focus). I think quitting the chips was actually harder than ditching books would have been! Now, where are those chocolate bunnies...
