i'm still here

i haven't updated in a long time, and this one is for you, amy ovsiew.

last semesters grades came in, A-,A-,B-,C-. i'm pretty nasty with the minuses.
those are the best grades i've gotten since i've been here; first semester without a D or F.

christmas break was nice. i wish it was longer so i could see my friends more. the day after new years i left to go to florida for two weeks with my dad.

i cut seven inches off of my hair and, surprisingly, i'm in love with it.

florida was amazing. we stayed in the keys for most of the time. such an amazing place, i think when i get old i may become a snowbird and live down there during the winter. my diet down there consisted of seafood and key lime pie, no complaints. my life there was beaches, pools, boats and fishing.

i also met up with aunt beth, uncle steve, samantha, and brandee. even though it was so nice to see the girls, my aunt and uncle are alcoholics and i cried a lot when i was around them. it just seemed so wasteful to only see them once every year or so [less now that my mom and beth don't talk] and when i do see them they're shitfaced the whole time.

samantha reminds me a lot of myself, shes quiet but when she has something to say or a strong opinion about something she'll say it and stick to it. she also wants all of my clothes and to get her haircut like mine.

the plane ride home was the scariest thing ever. the whole trip consisted of turbulence, and then when we went to land it was ALL over the place. the woman next to me was saying prayers in spanish, babies were crying, i was sweating, and my dad is going "THIS IS INTENSE!!" we landed safely though, only to come back to a snow storm that made our trip from atlantic city to jackson THREE HOURS LONG.

this semester seems like its going to be exciting, in a way. it may also be my demise. i'm taking biology two, physics one, chemistry one [round two], and a forensic anthropology class.

i'm looking forward to bio because i like the subject and the girls i sit with seem really cool. chemistry seems like it will be okay, matt is in my class, along with my lab partner from the first time around, and a girl from my lit class last semester. my physics professor is kinda hot for an older guy. and finally, come april, my forensic teachers are setting up a murder scene and burying a body for us to excavate. i'm so excited.

i bought these pants thinking they were a medium,

but, alas, they are an extra extra large.
