I seriously watched this video this morning and I had extreme tears of happiness streaming down my face. haha! Not only is the song sincere...It's just,
It reminds me of when I was like 12 years old, and I would sleep with the TV on because I was afraid of the dark, and I always left it on like "Fuse" or something, and in the morning it would always have this show that exploited underground artists, and I always KNEW it was time to get up for school when I would hear "Your Body is a Wonderland" playing, haha! And every morning was a good day, because they played it at the same time EVERY day, and it was the best waking up to someone who would soon become one of my ALL TIME favorite artists.
I feel like the video is really nice too. The girl in it is so naturally beautiful and I love the part where he's taking pictures of her in the feild of grass with the sprinklers going off...
It reminds me of when I would work in the green house and I loved the grass around the green house so much that I would take off my shoes (and socks if I had them on) and put my feet in the soft grass and shoot my feet with the water hose. It felt so good!!!
It just reminds me of so many good things, and even though I was a child, I used to get so giddy over JOHN MAYER and as I got older it seems I forgot that, but lately I've been extremely reminded of it.
I start remembering how I drove to NORTH CAROLINA to see him, and how I sang every song on his set list with all of my heart, and how I cried through half of it, even though I was like 500 rows back, and couldn't even really see him.
It makes me think of what music can do to people. And what a lovely thing it is indeed.
The best part is John usually doesn't even write about woman, most of it is just...real.
and I love that about him because he sacraficed being the gorgeous-romance singing popstar he was in that video, grew his hair out real long, and started making music that HE loved. About life, and about the world.
I love waking up and feeling this way. I love feeling at all. I'm in such a good mood, and no one can stop me now.
