Motorla has a beautiful new Red Razor and blue tooth ear peice, Gap has an entire clothing line, Apple has a new red nano ipod, and converse has a new line of shoes...all are red products, which means all will be donating an amount of the profit to an AIDS foundation in Africa to help relieve AIDS, prevent AIDS, and educate the people about AIDS.
For those of you who dont know me, this is a big deal to me. This a preventable horrific desease in our world and believe me it hurts to lose anyone to it. Modern medicine can relieve the pain people endure when they have HIV and in alot of cases prevent it from becoming full blown AIDS. People in Africa dont have these medications. People in Africa do not have the in your face education we get in the states (though we are a bit lacking in that dept ourselves) when it comes to education on preventative methods that can be used to fight HIV and AIDS.
The biggest thing i can encourage you to do when you read this is spend the christmas money you will use to buy people gifts, and make that gift a red product. The Gap has T shirts for $28.00 that are red products. Each time you buy one 50% of that will go to the AIDS fund. So a $28.00 shirt is really $14 and beyond that your making a $14 contribution.
If we all show an intrest in this and red products will be more common and as the consumer we can really make a difference.
