New Assignment, yay!
Man, I have sooooooo much work to do. I have to do some converting for the film still (oh shyte, NTS: email Zack about that), a flash interactive thing for the geology department, work, read a whole book (NTS: buy books tomorrow while out), read 9 more chapters in a second book, and do 6 character designs. PHEW! So much! And I'm not going to get much done tomorrow since I work and am going out for half the day. I will just have to do some skilled planning while I'm at work tomorrow. LOL
Hmmm, so I am totally excited about the new assignment I got from conceptual illustration. We are designing 6 characters who are all based off of ourselves but such different parts of us that no one recognize it as us. We also have a set of rules that we must follow. They are: 1. 2 Characters must be of a different gender than myself. 2. 2 Characters must be of a differen generation than myself. 3. 1 Character must be of a different species. 4. 1 character should come in a group. And 5. 1 character must have some relation to a force of nature.
So, i already have my characters in my head and I have some set design ideas. I just need to draw them the way I want. And I'm going to share them. Haha, they go along with a little story I made about a girl who is rescued by a magical boy and taken to his homeland, Mora. Anyway, here the characters are:
*Emelia: She is the main character. She represents the side of me that longs for fairy tales and fantasy. She also represents that child-like feeling in me and part of me that is a little girl made to grow up too quickly.
*Tobi: He is the "hero" in a way. The one who protects everyone, etc. He represents that part of me and also the part of me that is magical and silent.
*Crea: Crea is Emelia's mentor. She is the High Priestes of a tribe within Mora and also a mother figure to anyone and everyone. She has several children and is pregnant with another. Crea represents the maternal and unconditional loving side of me.
*Babette: She is probably my favorite in design and personality. Babette is the creature of another species in my project. She is a sort of... bird-ish human thing. She is sexy and crazy and represents my eccentric side.
*Faevien: The King of Mora. He is a wise king who represents authority and... well, Wisdom. lol.
*Ora: And lastly, I have Ora. She is the evil woman who is hell bent on being beautiful, powerful and hurtful. She obviously represents my negative side... The part of me that can hurt and that is unrelentlessly jealous and vein. She is going to be point. ^^
I did some little random sketches in class tonight. Here, looook:
Um... the top left was me trying to decide what i wanted Emelia to look like. I decided to go with the last one. Uuuuum, on the right hand side is Babette's design. I loves it. ^^ And in the bottom left is Ora. Her body and then also a quick, crappy sketch of her head. It was attached to a body but for some reason the shitty web cam pic was making it even shittier than it was. Sooo, I just used the head part. Haha. I will show of the final ones later though.
Mmmm, before I go, i should mention what I had for a night snack (since I was at school during dinner time). I used left over roast and some tonkatsu sauce and cooked up some rice and put them together. It was most delicious. When I run to mitsuwa tomorrow I must remember to get some more of the sauce since it expired like... 7 months ago. XD Eww.
Kay... so I gotta go to sleep now. Has work in the morning. YAY. :\
