i've been absent for a while. spent a couple of days around and in the hospital. stupid. neither here nor there. back to the all important gear.
i missed a bunch of angel eyes practices. missed practicing with my other friend cause i was sick. didn't really play anything. sucked.
so last things first. on sunday, i let todd use the goatkeeper and it rules in his board. it sounds super awesome with his rig and nader's bass parts were really rad. i didn't really realize any impact i was going to have and since the bulk of the first practices were 'old' material, he didn't really have to write new parts.
so on this current 'song 3'. there turned out to be a bass groove in the song. hearing nader and ryan work as a rhythmn unit was amazing and todd and b over it sounded super hot. at this point i'm sitting on stairs since i can't be injecting hiss into the song writing process. it's been working well and this new stuff sounds awesome and full. then towards the end of practice they worked on another part and he pumped out another sweet bass part.
this also made me stumble into another role. todd would just kick out a recording of the end of practice but people would forget parts and shit would need to be reworked. so instead of just sitting and offering feedback on random parts, i'll be recording parts of the jam sessions so we all can listen to them. i randomly clicked record during the pinnacle of one of those parts and caught a drum part ryan was working on. he just had to listen back for one second and had it back and the part was pretty good to go.
