Writer's Block
Are you worried about where technology will lead us? Do you think it's possible that civilization may someday turn away from technology altogether for the betterment of humankind?
Ya know what?....I was talking to Tim about this the other night!
About how the old-fashioned-ness in me wants to retreat back to 'olden' days....
Where technology wasn't about.
Where food had to be harvested, bartered for....or even stolen.
Where children respected items/people/beliefs.
Where families talked.....properly.
Where make-up/cosmetic surgery wasn't considered 'normal'.
Where children were allowed to be children, and taught to grow up at the right pace.
Where marriage was respected.
Where money wasn't the be-all and end-all of the world.
Where women could stay home to raise the kids without having to earn to survive.
I know...old fashioned, but that's just me.
I know I like my computer, games, gadgets....my phone! But surprisingly, take them away from me, and I am as happy as a pig in shit to be honest. As long as the kids are close and I know everyone is safe....and I am happy to give up all the technology in favour of an all out camping trip, an evening of conversation or a great big cook-up in the kitchen.
Maybe I shoulda been born 100 years ago.
