I never had much interest in a dog, but after reading these stories, I so want one! I know nothing about dogs but you did such a great job of describing Watson that when I looked up a picture of him (yes, I'm a geek), it was exactly as I had pictured in my mind!
This was my favourite part:
“She’s been doing the whole dog breeding thing for awhile. She took one look at him, called me a moron, chastised me for not learning anything when researched for that book, and said he’s a Newfoundland mix. Brown and white to be precise.”
And there's something about Castle use of 'we' to find a dog, together, that seems very sweet.
I love the cozy and warm feel to this story. It's nice to see Castle and Beckett happy and to have a small glimpse into a small moment.
(And, as I will continue to comment in every post, I'm still dying to know how they actually got to this point - aka the book launch) ...I had to throw that in!
Good luck with your artwork exams (or whatever that would be called). I can't wait for whatever you come up with next. Thanks for sharing, it helps break up a very tedious day that consists of reading about death, torture and system analysis. I'm very grateful!
