The good, the bad, the year 2005

1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
-- I moved to New York and almost got murdered by a bum.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
-- I didn't make a new years resolution last year, but I think i'll be making one this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
-- I don't think so.. but John and Stacy are expecting early next year! That's exciting.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
-- yes

5. What countries did you visit?
-- US&Canada

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
-- A new car?

7. What month(s) from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
-- March-Moved away from everything I knew and loved
May-Brandie Noel Bailey died

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
-- Fighing racism on the streets of Brooklyn, NY

9. What was your biggest failure?
-- Letting NY get the best of me..

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
-- A couple bumps and bruises and i'm not really sure what's going on with me now..

11. What was the best thing you bought?
-- My one way ticket to NYC

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
-- Everyone that lives/lived in apartment #407, Jason Bailey and JP Brown. We all went through some very hard times together.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
-- they know who they are.

14. Where did most of your money go?
-- rent and subway fares.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
-- The Warriors hanging out in New York.
Eating vegan Ice Cream with Toby Morse after the H20 show.
Getting tattooed by Danielle.
The Trial reunion show.
Getting to see Roger after an entire year of not seeing him.
Michelle coming to visit me in NY for my birthday. (even if we did end up in the ER)

i. happier or sadder?
-- probably about the same, but deep down a little sadder

ii. thinner or fatter?
-- about the same.

iii. richer or poorer?
-- poorer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
-- laughing, stagediving, hanging out with family & friends.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
-- being mad/sad, working

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
-- opening presents and eating food at my moms house, and then probably at home with jess

22. Did you fall in love in 2005?
-- no

23. What was your favorite TV program(s)?
-- Anything on animal planet or court tv.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
-- nope, still have those people on my list. Although recently made ammends with one of them.

26. What was the best book you read?
-- Mole People

27. What was your greatest musical discovery(s)?
-- The Cary Brothers, The new death cab

28. What did you want and get?
-- To spark change in peoples minds.

29. What did you want and not get?
-- Racism to end.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
-- The Laramie project

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
-- turned 22 in August. Michelle came to visit me in NY and we spent the morning in the ER because of her ear infection. The last half of my birthday was spent reading books in the air conditioned barnes&noble at Astor Place, then on a sailing cruise where michelle got sick again, then we went home and she slept and I played on myspace.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
-- to have graduated from college, to have my plane ticket to Africa in hand, to have had that conversation sooner.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
-- I don't really have a 'concept'. I bought a ton of earings in NY that I wear now.

34. What kept you sane?
-- my cell phone, music&inspirational lyrics, friends and animals.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
-- Kanye West when he made it known that George Bush hates black people. That was pretty awesome.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
-- George Bush and his war tactics.

37. Who/what did you miss?
-- Brandie, Michelle, Melissa, Colette, Mo, Marina, Chad, Jess, other Jess, Little Matt, Roger, Richie, pretty much anyone that lived where I wasn't at the time.

38. Who was the best new person(s) you met?
-- Colette, Mo, Jess, Therese from Sweden, Greg.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
-- There really may be no tomorrow.
