Burning in water and drowning in flames...
It's been a crazy couple of weeks lately. Hopefully after this weekend I can spend a Saturday at home free from social obligations. Right before my birthday Todd and I went to see Cabin in the Woods. Which was by far movie of the fuckin' year in my opinion. We also hit Azuma's for sushi and Todd and I managed to order something random on the appetizer menu that we had no idea what it was. It's been a weird ritual where we find something we have no idea what it is and try it out. So we got a double order of the Dynamite, and it basically lived up to it's name. We were not dissappointed. They also have these awesome cheesecake bites for dessert now.
Week after that was the Weird Al Concert. We went up for bbq at Whole Hog before the concert and ate out on the patio since it was actually a pretty nice day. Weird Al, as always, goes all out for his concert. He doesn't just sing, he really puts on a show. It was especially funny to see Cass let loose and start dancing her heart out in the middle of the concert. She held it together for the better part of the concert but she couldn't hold back the groove when he started in on "Fat"
Week after that was Jarrod's bachelor party. We all dressed up in in fancy duds and went to the Avengers. It was everything we could have hoped for. Earth's mightiest heroes, a huge invasion force, it was pure poetry. Then on to the comic book shop to kill some time until our dinner reservations. We were a little over dressed for the comic shop but it was kinda neat. Then some magnificient steak at Paul's Monterrey. It was glorious.
This weekend is Jarrod and Chelsea's wedding, which I'm really looking forward too. I'm really happy for them, and it's going to be a wonderful wedding. I wouldn't miss it for anything.
But yeah, next weekend I am going to be a lump on the couch and not moving for anything.
