I just got home from work about 25 minutes ago. Closing can be rough sometimes. This past summer I was getting home at 10:30 or 11 because it was dead. Now that the busy season is upon us, I could be at the club all hours of the night. The one advantage is that riding the bus is real quiet and empty. I actually get a seat. Oh #17, the craziness never ends!
I put in for a mini-vacation today when I got in. Hopefully they won't have a problem with me taking a week off in November. Too bad, they don't have much choice. In the past few years of working, I have found that my threshold is about 4 months of working straight before I get to the snapping-point. You just get burned out and need a relaxing, away from home break. Some of the members of the club are also totally ignorant and rude. And that, my dear readers, makes me want to go postal on floor fifty-two.
Two weeks ago, I found out my boss is leaving the company this coming Friday. He's worked with ClubCorp for over 15 years. I'm sad and happy at the same time. Its one of those times when I'm not really sure what to feel. Its going to be a time of change and patience which I'm not really sure I want to be on the boat for. Yet another reason to take a week off in November.
I couldn't take it anymore. After much looking and researching, I finally broke down and bought an iPod. It should be here on Thursday. Stay tuned for that fiasco.
