ONE REEL FIC DONE, TWO TO GO
YAY! For my reel_merlin fic of 'Cinderella' is DONE DONE DONE!
I totally took it for the lulz, hoping to get a sweet, slightly cracky fic written about Nimueh as the evil Stepmother and Morgana and Gwen and the Not So Ugly Sisters, with Merlin as the poor, put upon son of Nimueh's second husband - who she possibly ate, a la spider - and Arthur as, of course, the handsome prince. I envisioned, 5, maybe 6000 words.
Oh, no.
It became an EPIC MONSTER. A MONSTER. It grew an actual PLOT outside the Cinderella lines - NO CINDERELLA!FANFIC SHOULD DO THIS! EVER! I'm going to disappoint people! (heh, all eleven who read the darned thing :D) - and then went all dark and emo and weird, and the grand total of words stands at NINETEEN THOUSAND AND EIGHTY. This sucker is forty four pages long. FORTY FOUR. And this is only the FIRST of the sodding fics!
*capslocks entire f-list to death*
...sorry. I just. 44 pages. *dies*
On the other hand, this means that I'm nearly a fifth of my way through my yearly target for written words. o.O
Anyone else got any Reel Related Trauma (RRT) to share? Do. Please. ^_^
