Dear Brett,
I know that I said valentine's day was silly and commercial, but I've since discovered that maybe I was wrong. Since I told you that I wanted to celebrate valentine's day for once, I have been forced to think a lot about us both and our relationship together. I have wondered about what makes us work (no idea), why you love me (not a clue), and why I love you (I've come up with a few).
So I have realised that this is what Valentine's day is for, to make us look at our love and be amazed and suprised and to delight in it. To make us realise what it is, and to keep it safe.
I'm not sure if I want to buy into presents or even cards every year, but a nice dinner, a cuddle on the couch, you holding my face in your hands when you kiss my lips, you saying you love me, wont go astray. I love that you give me this every day, and not just on Valentine's Day.
