Well, i left Spokane at 10am on Thursday. Friday morning I pulled over 20 miles south of Lamar, Co for a nap. Arrival in Alexandria, La: just short of 1am Friday night. All in all, a 36 hour drive time (round about). The entire trip was rather uneventful aside from one thing... WARNING!! WARNING!! Do NOT travel the interstate in Wyoming at night UNLESS you are driving a vehicle that is at least 1 metric ton and has a large battering ram on the front as well as 4 Q-beams for light. When darkness fell, I pulled off to get gas and make pee-pee, when to my surprise I passed an 8-point buck standing 2 feet off the exit ramp. If I only had a baseball bat and ice to go with my cooler and sharp knives I could have hosted a hell of a BBQ. Further down the road I almost hit a 600-800 lb ELK that was standing in the middle of the fucking road! Funniest thing about it: it wanted to challange my car!!! Yes, Elk jousting in the middle of the interstate. I would have definately killed the elk, but would have had to walk all the way back, IF, I would have survived. Not that I wouldn't have minded adding THAT to the cooler as well. *hehe* On top of it all, as I swerved to miss the bastard, I thought I saw a Geiko camera crew out of the corner of my eye LAUGHING at me.... If I saw that commercial, I think I'd switch insurance companies.
Well, I'm here, and Arlani was pleased to see me, as was my family. Tomarrow, I go to Northwestern State University to enroll and see if my old desk job is still taken.
