"California Governor Schwarzenegger is conducting a telephone poll which includes the right for same-gender couples to legally marry in California (for or against). Predictably, right-wingers are flooding the office with calls. Since we 're trying to pass several marriage equality and domestic partner bills here, it's a good time to show support on the issue, especially since Arnold is exceptionally conscious of responding to public opinion. It takes about 24 seconds, not that I timed it or anything.
To tell the Governer you support gay marriage:
1. Call (916) 445-2841 (use a cell phone, you won't be charged long distance)
2. Press #5 for Current Hot Issues.
3. Press #1 for Same Gender Marriage.
4. Press #1 to support gay marriage in California."
If you don't support it, then by all means, voice your opinion as well. Everyone should choose as they will."
Sorry if this clogs your friends page, but there are a few people who I know would want to see this that aren't friended to the aforementioned two.
All you Californians on my f'list should go do this. Except that if you aren't for same sex marriage, you should press two. Even if you aren't a Californian, you should do this, because Ah-nold is very concerned about his image elsewhere as well.
