No kiss? What a joke. I'm not dead, in case you were curious. So, if you'd like an alive friend ... and that is a great picture. I am graphics challenged.
I'm trying to think of something better than Mulder and Scully, but... no. What is it about them? Why do all other things in the world cry at how they'll never live up?
I think that's it right there. Anyone who's watched at least half of that series knows that, I don't know - like, it's as if nothing could stop them. There was a lot of death throughout and just a huge amount of loss on a personal level and they were all: this will not move me. Despite the last two seasons, which I didn't enjoy all that much, if you look the beginning and the end, it's, you know, definitely where they were supposed to be.
Yeah, exactly. And everything about them - more than any other show I've watched - is life-or-death. Somehow, when I watch The X-Files, it all becomes so much more serious (albeit, often in a lighthearted way) but you know that not even death is ever going to stop them because they're MulderandScully. I was talking to a friend of mine tonight who's working her way through it (she's seen half way through s5 so far) and she randomly said, "The truth is out there!" and I was like, "I know the truth! I know the REAL truth!" just to tease her, but when she asked what it was, I kind of thought, well, it's a matter of interpretation. And I'm the same as you - I didn't enjoy the last couple of seasons like the first seven - but the ending, to me, was perfect. We got the truth: that Mulder and Scully together are greater than on their own; that Scully's power is to give Mulder faith and to help him believe there's hope; that Mulder's power is to accept the past but not forget it, and to fight for the future - all with Scully by his side; and

Just kidding. You can stay. But only if you play dead once in a while. Thank you! The old school Mulder and Scully lovin' came over me.
