Tribal Revolution Halfa ROCKED!!! ;)
Alright, I'm too tired to go on and on and ON (the peanut gallery - Yay!!!), but I just HAVE to say, for my first hafla ever, it was amazing!! ALL of the performers just blew me away, and the open dances? AWESOME! Loving my husband is the bestest thing in the world, but the second best? An open dance floor FULL of belly dancers! They were so fun to dance with, so nice and good. I'm SO sore and tired now, but it was 100% worth it.
Karim Nagi lead some of the open dances and did some drumming. Let me tell you, the most sexy man is Matt (closely tied with Johnny Depp...), the next catagory of sexy is a man who can dance. The third? A man who can play the goblet drum! *swoon* Karim can dance AND play. It was SO FUN!!! I even got to dance with him a little, and got my pic with him. I might harass him some more tomorrow ;).
The ONLY complaint I have has NOTHING to do with Blue Lotus Tribe or the event itself - the staff at the Purple Hotel were bad. They told people who'd preordered their meals that they'd run out, only to then be wrong. They couldn't find a chair for a guy at our table to sit in... they were clearing stuff away too quicky. They were bad. We were unhappy.
But otherwise it was GREAT! I bought a shirt and a book on costuming from Magda (which the girls will see tomorrow ;)), and Matt got a DVD on playing the goblet drum from Audrena. She has a beaded and coined hip sash that I'm DYING to get... it's $30 but I've already spent $61. But it's SO tempting... she had cute t-shirts too, but that belt's got my name all over it. Mrow! We'll see... I may still have a little extra $$.
So, tomorrow's Robyn's wedding thing (which I have NO IDEA when I being picked up... that'll be fun), then home so Matt and I can go to the show!! *squees* Kami'll be there, and Karim again, and it's SO going to rock!
