Good days
You know, ever since I got that job offer it's like a cloud lifted off of me, and things have been pretty darn good :). Wednesday was an awesome belly dance practice with the Hipnotic-ish girls. My Devin time has been amazing, she's been such a joy lately. Thursday was a long day, driving up to Vernon Hills to get her. We spent an hour at the Borders there, just looking around and reading books, it was really fun. Friday we met up with Melly and her son CJ at my clubhouse, and we belly danced while Devin and CJ played. It was REALLY cute, they were pretty attached to each other and had a great time. At one point Devin even called him sweetie!! Ha!! Young love ;). That evening after NOT napping we got her pics done at Penney's. And despite the lack of sleep, she was a rock star and I am rediculously thrilled with her pics. Yay!!
Today's been pretty chill. This morning Devin and I cuddled and watched Phineas and Ferb ;). We went to the bank and pet store this after, then to Borders for their kids Halloween event. It was simple, but fun. We read a bunch of books again ;). We came home and she went down for a nap around 2... and is still sleeping o_O. I don't know exactly what to do, but I'm letting it go for now. I've been really productive; I fed the cats, did laundry, took out trash, and did some cleaning up in the kitchen and the bedroom. We're still messy from the party... but things are looking much better :D.
Going outside today... it could be Samhain, but there was just something in the air. The sun on my skin was just magical, warm and loving and inviting, burning away any of the negativity that's been plagueing me lately, telling me to stick to the high road. The wind spoke of change and hope and more love, how truly good my life is right now, how amazing the people in it are. Sometimes one just needs a good kick in the ass from nature for a good attitude adjustment. :)
