Happy birthday Aaron!!
Yesterday was wonderful. Albie, Devin and I went to Aaron's birthday party at his house in Aurora. It was glorious ;). A blast from the past, as fun events usually are. I got to hang out with Mary, Matt and Susan. Tae was there, whom I haven't seen in Years. Andy too, who I believe I last saw at Aaron's party last year. I saw Grace and Liss too. And of COURSE the lovely Renee, glowing in her 7th month of pregnancy. :D I'm SO excited for them!! No Sven; he was missed, but I hear he's on vacation with his lady, so we fogive him ;). We missed Adam too, but he's in FL, heh.
Renee knows what they're having, but Aaron doesn't, as he wants to be suprised. Now... I know too. Hee hee!! :D
I think Aaron liked his present:
;). He's a cleric, from Creepy Cute Crochet. I made him this week with the gimpy thumb, so he's not as clean as he could have been, but I did my best and I'm actually really happy with him. The grey thing is a mace - it's supposed to be felt but I have cheap felt and got REALLY frustrated so I just made it up via crochet. I actually think it came out cute, hehe. And Aaron LOVED it, which is really what matters. :D!
Albie had a great time too, catching with this everyone he met through me in C-U. It was wonderful and I'm so glad he came too. We pushed it a bit with Devin, but she handled it brilliantly and passed out in the car for the whole hour home. It must have been a DAMN good nap too, cause when we got back here she was ALL laughs and smiles and wanted to play, so we enjoyed her company for like 15 minutes before I put her down. She was out like a light ;).
Oh, and Tae said that no baby is this happy and smilie, so she MUST be plotting something. He's prolly right ;).
So, yeah, it was a bit of a nostalgic night. I have a really great time with some old friends and I'm just thrilled that we went. Hazzuh!!
