Scrubs, true to life
You know, I think Scrubs is a great show, a funny show. I'm catching up on it on Comedy Central, a bit outta order, but I think I've seen enough to be able to piece the story together.
It's clever, it makes me laugh. I can identify with the characters. But sometimes, there's that episode that just catches me off guard and knocks the wind outta me, makes me wanna bawl. Part of it is my old job - I was an emergency vet tech, and just because it's animals doesn't make it any less stressful or heartbreaking.
The "one out of 3 people die" episode always gets me. I just watched one where an organ donor had rabies, so all the recipients died too. It made me think of our "death days", usually around the holidays. Hit me hard today for some reason. Maybe cause I'm working on me resume.
