So, how many of you have been watching the Saddam trials? Anyone? Hello? Not me. They aren't broadcasting it here. Shouldn't we be demanding live in-court coverage? Shouldn't the government?
Sure, it's an embarassing trial full of grandstanding, temper tantrums, Saddam in his PJs, etc etc. But, hey, wait-- This trial is what over two thousand US troops have died for! [cue flag raising in the background and national anthem] Thousands more troops injured, and tens of thousands of Iraqis killed because the US wanted Saddam out of power and nobody is fucking watching this thing? Not only should this trial be broadcast, but it should be broadcast on every fucking channel split screen with the faces of those who have died for this trial. It's an outrage, and we shouldn't stand for it.
