Pros, Cons, & Whimsy
Pros:
This weekend, Sabrina and I went out to see the Harry Potter movie again with our friend Woody, which was pretty fun. Hanging out with Woody is always a trip, as he's a funny fucker and he has no brain to mouth filter. He'll say what he's thinking or feeling with blatant disregard for what anyone thinks. After the movie, we went out to Waffle House and saw Sharon and had dinner there and hung out for a bit, drinking soda and coffee. We talked about nerdy things like Harry Potter and why you're retarded if you don't read the books. We talked about D&D 4E and why it's coming out. We talked about World of Warcraft and went back to the apartment. We continued talking and I gave them my abridged Warcraft History lesson. Sunday was spent watching movies and sleeping entirely too late. Monday was spent doing much the same, aside from going to Frankie's and hanging with him for a while. Over all, decent weekend for me.
Cons:
It rained a lot on Saturday and this ruined my wants for going swimming this weekend. It rained a lot. Sleeping really late is making today miserable. There was some drama because of it in my happy abode, but that was worked out mostly and I think that having another good night will smooth it all out completely.
Whimsy:
Woody's gamer group is starting a new game, their normal DM Randy is wanting to be a player. So... I guess I'm it. I'm okay with it, I'm so used to running a game that when the opportunity came up to be in a game, I automatically sat down and started thinking about what kind of game I would run. I'm hoping I can get a chance to sit and meet with all of them again, having been in the room with them a total of twice ever. Randy, Chris, Bobby and Woody will be joining myself and Sabrina. Five players, about what I'm used to. I figure if I sit down with all of them, I can throw on the table what I'm interested in running and see what they're into, we can go over character creation and exchange emails. Set up something semi-regular as far as doing a game. It'll be nice for my creative mind to have something of an outlet. Wonder how much of my homebrew setting I can get done this week...
