Let us go now, just you and I,
we will walk on the street under a blanket sky.
A failed attempt to grab her hand,
she slipped away... it was like grabbing for sand.
The light from the lamp surrounds the two,
he tells her his lies, she stares at her shoes.
She move into the darkness, expecting to hide.
So he keeps his hands pinned to his side.
Walking beside her under a black and blurry sky,
he rings out his confessions to her azure eyes.
Not even a second does she believe his lies,
she turns to run and a tear falls from her left eye.
He whispers goodbye and stares at his hands,
their cold, clammy, and covered in her sand.
