I Should Be Sleeping
If I ever have to work with red satin ever again, it will be too soon. I'm about to hang myself with a noose made out of this stuff.
On the other hand, this cloak is going to be FREAKING AMAZING when I'm done. Or at least I hope.
Cosplay To-Do List:
-Finish poet shirt (Zandra, I may recruit your help with this)
-Finish cloak basic construction
-Start planning out shoulder armor
-Make body armor
-Make hat
-Do more test runs of makeup
-Brush out/style wig
-Plan out embellishments
-Add black and white "train" to the cloak
-Destroy wedding dress
-Salvage wedding dress pieces for the costume
-Ask Kiddo about borrowing his black gauntlets
-If possible, embellish those.
-Embellish the crap out of the rest of this costume
-TRIAL RUNS
-Be a badass
I need to make a real entry about some real stuff, but suffice to say that I'm doing better emotionally, although I still have my off moments. I have been housesitting my dad's apartments with Boo's help and it's been fun having a bachelor pad. I've gotten to see Zandra, Bree, Jackie and Noelle over the last week and that has been FANTASTIC. I've been having some other minor health issues lately, but all things considered those are just going to have to work themselves out. I did finally figure out what's wrong with my eyes and hopefully it won't be an issue anymore. I'm crossing my fingers.
Tomorrow I'm leaving to go to Port Aransas until Monday to spend some time with my extended family. Without going into detail, my uncle is extremely sick so this is kind of a "last hurrah" of sorts for the family. Morbid, but I'm going to try really hard to have a good time.
And now I'm going to pass out. My alarm is set to go off in five and a half hours.
