Just for the record:
Things Texting is Good For:
-Yes or no questions
-Questions that involve short (three or four word) answers
-Random announcements.
-Little reminders.
-Letting people know things that do not necessitate an entire phonecall: "Almost here." "Running late." "Buy milk." Etc.
-Poop texting.
Things Texting is NOT Good For:
-Involved conversations.
-Questions that involve more than three or four word answers. "What did you do today?" Is NOT a good text-question.
-Personal announcements: "Got engaged!" "Grandma died!" Etc.
-Arguments.
-Random chitchat.
-Anything else not otherwise stipulated in "Things Texting Is Good For."
Seriously people. Trying to have actual conversations over text is just stupid. I am not going to waste five minutes of my life trying to type out what classes I'm taking next semester one character at a time with my thumbs just because you don't feel like picking up the phone and actually having a real conversation. And then don't act surprised when I actually call you back instead of wasting my life texting you back.
No, this does not apply to anyone on here. It's just been an annoyance lately I've had to deal with and needed to rant about. RAWR!
