Wowza! Sounds like quite a move. That would drive me nuts. I hate being in limbo unless it's by choice (like when camping/hiking). As far as zip ties, I think they should ban them because foolish people (like us) have a habit of stabbing ourselves while cutting them. My recently defunct garlic press resulted in permanent nerve damage to one of my fingers after I stabbed myself with my Gerber trying to cut the damned zip ties.
