Movies-as-games-as-movies, part whatever-some-number (Uncharted 3 review)

From a game design standpoint, the Uncharted games are not the greatest games in the world.  Its gameplay has been done better elsewhere, in the likes of Assassin's Creed and action-shooter hybrids like Mass Effect and Gears of War.  It's not even the most seemless action-gaming experience like God of War.

I watched TV play some of Uncharted 2 at PAX and it looked REALLY fun and compelling, even if it wasn't very nuanced or innovative.

It doesn't even live on the same planet as "nuanced" or "innovative"...but it doesn't matter because it's so. much. fun!

Admittedly, the multiplayer combat isn't that great. Primarily because it doesn't have any of the awesome things that made the single player campaign awesome, and the combat isn't quite good enough to stand on its own in a world of Battlefield/MWF/Gears or even Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (whose sequel I have pre-ordered and will be playing the crap out in a couple weeks :P)
